A Ferrari revealed during an event in Miami, Florida (USA), its newest supercar: the coupe 12Cylinder, and its convertible version, Spider. As the name makes clear, it is a sports car with 12 cylinders, V, seen as a form of resistance in the face of the world of downsizing and electrification, a route followed even by the brand itself in some models.

New Ferrari Super Car

The model does not have Turbos or electrical assistance: it is an aspirated V12, just like the famous Ferrari sports cars of the past. The new model will replace the current 812 GTS, as well as honoring the 365 GTB/4 Daytona. Made in Maranello, the model was developed by Flavio Manzoni and team.

Design and Performance

Visually, the long hood and short rear make the Daytona inspiration clear, as well as the front with a black stripe and headlights with a horizontal look. Just like the old coupe, the brand's logo is in the middle of the piece. Carbon fiber inserts and large air intakes deliver air to the large V12 under the hood.

Interior and Technology

At the rear, however, a large black area makes the design unique, contrasting with the red of the car. With a GT format, the 12Cilindri respects the look of the classics Grand Tourers, with little space for luggage, and a spacious cabin, although relatively simple. Slim LED headlights give the model a sophisticated look, and the double exhaust outlet, in addition to the black carbon diffuser, increase sportiness.

Engine and Performance

Twelve cylinders deliver to the owner 820 hp at a high 9,250 rpm and 69 mkgf of torque. The high rev range requires the driver to make non-conservative shifts, making the powerful V12 engine roar loudly. Commanding the set is the automatic dual-clutch transmission, with eight gears, shorter than the one used by the 812 Competition, for example.

Release and Price Forecast

This contributes to a 0 to 100 km/h time of just 2.9 seconds, and a 0 to 200 km/h of 7.9 seconds. The model is expected to hit the market at the end of this year, and according to the European press, it should cost close to 400 thousand euros, representing R$ 2.1 million reais, in direct conversion.
