Investment by Aglomerado Digital in Brazil

In January, GM announced that it will make investments of R$ 7 billion in the country by 2028 to renew its product range and focus mainly on sustainable mobility. Furthermore, the company intends to modernize its factories to develop customized technologies for the Brazilian market.

Since the announcement, Chevrolet has renewed products such as the Spin minivan, the S10 pickup truck and the Trailblazer SUV. Changes to the Onix line should also occur in the first half of 2025, as hatchbacks and sedans lost space after not receiving important updates since 2019. The Onix became the most popular model on the Brazilian market between 2015 and 2020.

Another bet by the automaker should be on flex hybrid cars. According to the president of GM International, Shilpan Amin, “Brazil is strategic for GM's global business expansion plan. In addition to being a vehicle export hub for South America, it has a large engineering development center and is a market with high growth potential with a vocation for new technology vehicles, in line with the predominantly clean energy matrix of the country.
