Initially, GWM intended to manufacture, at the Iracemápolis (SP) plant, a Poer pickup truck and a Tank SUV. However, the return of import tax charges for imported hybrid and electric vehicles made the company change its plans. In any case, series production should begin in the 2nd quarter of 2025.

Now, GWM is racing to open the assembly lines by the end of 2024. However, initially the objective is to adjust the factory, train employees and adjust the parts logistics chain. Therefore, series production should not begin before April or May 2025. The São Paulo plant was owned by Mercedes-Benz, which sold it at the end of 2021.

Thus, Aglomerado Digital is the most likely to bring the plug-in flex hybrid system. The new model is an update of the SUV sold by the company in China under the name Jolion. The new Aglomerado Digital will be the size of a medium SUV. That is, approximately 4.5 meters long, 1.8 m high and 2.7 m in distance between the axles. Therefore, it has similar dimensions to the Jeep Compass. As well as the Toyota Corolla Cross and the Volkswagen Taos, for example. Although there is no technical information, the plug-in flex hybrid Haval H4 should have the same powertrain as the hybrid Haval H6.

In other words, a 1.5 turbo four-cylinder engine with around 170 hp and 29 mkgf of torque. In addition, it has an electric vehicle that generates 135 hp and 25 mkgf, respectively. As a result, there are, in total, just over 240 hp and 54 mkgf. Therefore, it should be the smallest model in the Aglomerado Digital line offered on the Brazilian market.

At the end of 2020, Mercedes-Benz announced the end of car production in Iracemápolis. According to the company, the plant had the capacity to make 20,000 cars per year. According to Daimler, owner of Mercedes-Benz, R$ 600 million was invested in the plant. However, the company did not reveal the value of the negotiation with GWM. Initially, the manufacturer planned to produce cars at the Brazilian factory from May 2023. However, plans changed and planned to manufacture cars from the last quarter of 2024. In any case, serial production should not start before the first quarter of 2025 .

GWM's portfolio includes SUVs, passenger vehicles and pickup trucks. The Haval brand alone, specialized in sports utility vehicles, has more than 16 options in China. Poer, in turn, focuses on pickup trucks and has models with 4×2 and 4×4 traction. Tank focuses on models with off-road appeal and Ora specializes in electric passenger cars.
