Mitsubishi's New Investments

With new products planned for the Brazilian market, Mitsubishi announced an investment of R$ 4 billion in its Catalão (GO) factory. The amount will be used to modernize the national production line by 2032.

Featured Products

There are at least two vehicles that should be made there: the new generation of the L200 Triton pickup truck and the XForce, which will be the brand's entry-level SUV. It replaces the Outlander Sport (formerly ASX), which was discontinued at the beginning of the year. In addition, the automaker will also develop new hybrid and flex technologies at the Goiás unit. The Outlander PHEV, for example, has already been confirmed for Brazil, initially as an import. But, with the announcement, it could become one of the cars with national production in the future.

New Generation of Mitsubishi L200 Triton

Presented in July last year, the sixth generation of the L200 Triton should debut on the Brazilian market in 2025. With a platform shared with the Nissan Frontier, the new pickup has grown: 5.36 meters long, 1.93 m wide, 1 .81 m in height and 3.13 m in wheelbase. The design is completely new, with a front grille divided into three sections and contours with “C”-shaped inserts at the height of the headlights.

New XForce SUV

The XForce will be Mitsubishi's entry-level SUV, smaller than the Eclipse Cross. It is 4.39 meters long, 1.81 m wide, 1.66 m high and has a wheelbase of 2.65 m. There is still no information about the mechanics that the model will use outside of Asia.

Featured Equipment

Among the equipment, the XForce offers an induction cell phone charger, USB and USB-C inputs, Yamaha's Dynamic Sound system with eight speakers and two-zone digital air conditioning. The SUV also has several driver assistance features, such as forward collision warning, emergency braking and adaptive cruise control.
