The JAC Hunter phenomenon in the Brazilian market
O Volkswagen Polo at the top of the sales podium cars and light commercial vehicles was not the only surprise in Fenabrave's March monthly report. A few positions below, a name suddenly appears. Therefore, to face Toyota Hilux, Chevrolet S10, Volkswagen Amarok, ford ranger and company, should bet on the 2.0 turbodiesel engine with 170 hp and 41.8 mkgf of torque, offered in other markets. Linked to it is the eight-speed ZF automatic transmission. It has 4×4 traction with reduced gear and differential lock.
Expectations for mechanics in Brazil
At first, it is not yet known for sure which mechanics JAC will choose for Brazil. There are even those who opt for an electric option. Here, in fact, an addendum is in order. For now, JAC only sells electric cars in Brazil, but will reverse the decision after the increase in taxes in the category.
JAC Hunter technical details
The JAC pickup truck has a load capacity of up to 1.4 tons. The towing capacity, however, is 3.5 tonnes. However, in terms of dimensions, the Hunter measures 5.62 meters in length, 1.92 m in height, 1.96 m in width and 3.40 m in wheelbase.
In terms of aesthetics, the highlight is the huge black front grille that extends across the front. In it, a frame integrated into the bumper joins headlights and grille. The pronounced wheel arches house 18″ wheels. At the rear, santantônio and the automaker's logo stamped on the lid. It also has vertically shaped, LED-illuminated taillights, as well as a black bumper. Inside, a 10.2″ digital instrument panel and multimedia center. Expected arrival on the Brazilian market
The exact release date is still unknown, but according to the website Engine1, should arrive between June and July. The price range also remains a secret.
