Aglomerado Digital: electric pickup option from JAC

A JAC will not be left out of the mid-size pickup truck market, and it already has an option for this niche: the Hunter. The electric version of the pickup, called in China the Hiroyuki EV, appeared during the Beijing Motor Show, and looks very different from the current option offered in Brazil: the iEV-330P.

Differences between versions

The first difference is due to the electric range: according to the Chinese cycle (CLTC), the model has 500 km of autonomy, compared to 226 km (PBEV) of the Brazilian option. Its battery has 88.02 kWh, and can generate something close to 400 km in the PBEV cycle, for example. Furthermore, the look is completely different, with a more robust and updated appearance, which gives the pickup a more sophisticated look.

Design and features

Without a filleted grille, the front is a large closed but textured panel, which identifies the electric version, as there is no combustion engine at the front. Above, thin LED lights are daytime running lights, while the lower space is occupied by the headlight, also LED, with a square shape.

The wheels also have an aerodynamic design, and emulate a diamond “X”. At the rear, the LED lights have a vertical design, and the bumper is one-piece. The pickup measures 5.62 meters long, 1.96 m wide and 1.92 m high, impressing with its size and bed. In comparison, the model is larger than the current Ford Ranger, for example.

Motorization and technology

Inside, the look is modern and somewhat minimalist, as well as very straight. A digital cluster accompanies the vertical multimedia in the middle of the center console. Commanding the power, there are two electric motors, one on each axle, where the front delivers 95 hp and the rear 217 hp. This also makes the pickup 4×4.
