Audi launches the Performance edition of the RS6 Avant and RS7 Sportback models with much more power

Audi's latest strategy, which recently announced that it will only produce electric cars from 2026, is based on the RS6 Avant/RS7 Sportback duo, which will receive even more powerful versions hidden behind the Performance nomination.

In the Audi Sport department, they found a way to add another 21 hp and 50 Nm of torque to the 4-litre V8 biturbo engine, so that buyers of the said duo can now count on 621 hp and 850 Nm, which is distributed through a transmission 8-speed automatic for both axles.

In addition to the additional “horses”, the Audi duo will also receive a newly developed center differential in the Performance version, more compact and lighter than the previous one, responsible for the ideal distribution of torque between the axles.

Optional carbon-ceramic brakes, 34 kg lighter than standard brakes, new (optional) 22-inch rims, five kg lighter than previous ones, will help reduce the weight of the car, so another 20 kg has been removed .

The rims are fitted with Continental SportContact 7 tires, size 285/30.
With more power and less weight, the RS6 Avant Performance and RS7 Sportback Performance reach 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds (0.2 faster than before), and with the RS Dynamic Plus package, the top speed instead from 280 is 305 km/h.

Along with the two models, the Audi Sport offers 16 body colors, including two matte options, and the Performance version is decorated with some matte gray accents.

In Europe, sales of the most powerful models will start in December. The price will not come out for less than 135,000 euros, that is, 7,000 euros more expensive than the basic models RS 6 and RS 7.
