Audi Q4 e-tron will be launched with more autonomy and power in 2023

Last year, Audi introduced important innovations in the ranges of its two electric compact SUVs, the Audi Q4 e-tron and Q4 Sportback e-tron models.

Compact crossovers have received upgrades to their equipment, as well as reduced charging times for the 76.6 kWh battery that is available in more powerful versions of the model, such as the 40 e-tron and 50 e-tron quattro.

For 2023, the German automaker has prepared several new releases, including a new version of the Q4 e-tron and Q4 Sportback, which promise more power and maximum autonomy.

The news announced by Audi

The most important novelty is an increase between 12 and 26 kilometers that will improve the autonomy of the battery of greater capacity.

Its 76.6 kWh net will allow for routes of up to 540 kilometers in the most basic version, which represents an increase of 15 kilometers, 26 in the case of the Q4 50 e-tron quattro with its 299 hp of power.

Among the important gain in the new version of the Audi Q4 e-tron is the technical adjustment in the electro-hydraulic braking system.

The Audi Q4 e-tron will be more technological and efficient

The increased efficiency is due to improved energy recovery management software.

The system is able to manage the braking and decide, based on the situations, whether to decelerate through the motor, through the mechanical brakes or through a combination of the two solutions.

In the case of the Audi Q4 e-tron and Audi Q4 Sportback e-tron, the rear engine takes care of the decelerations in 90% of the cases, acting as an alternator.

Thanks to this smart and efficient use), Audi claims to have achieved an average range increase that varies from 12 km to 26 km, depending on the car version.

In addition, the two new SUVs also debut the “FoD” system, a platform that allows downloading functions on demand by activating optional equipment for a limited or indefinite time, through “myAudi”.

Among other novelties, it will be possible to activate functions of the digital instrument panel “Virtual Cockpit”, pre-conditioning of the passenger compartment, seat heating, adaptive cruise control and expand functions integrated in the navigation system “MMI Plus”.
