Donkervoort F22: Insane supercar with 500 horsepower and Audi RS 3 engine

The Dutch manufacturer Donkervoort, presented the F22, a two-seater car with a maximum height of 80 cm, giant tires, lowered cabin and weight of only 750 kg.

This Donkervoort, which replaces the D8 GTO model, has a better power-to-weight ratio than the Bugatti Veyron, as the F22 is powered by Audi's refined 5-cylinder 2.5-liter turbopetrol, whose 500 horsepower is responsible for the its light weight.

It is worth remembering that it is the same engine equipped in the Audi RS 3.

Power transmission to the rear axle is via a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The manufacturer claims that the F22 can travel 100 km/h from standstill in 2.5 seconds and reach 290 km/h.

More details of the Donkervoort F22

What is most impressive about the Dutch vehicle is that it is based on a tubular chassis, preventing loss of grip when cornering even with a force that produces 2.15g, which, in addition to the low weight, is helped by the special mixture of wide tires. 18 and 19 inch Nankang.

Although this new model features an entirely new design, it is instantly recognizable as a Donkervoort thanks to its exposed wheels, side exhausts and very aggressive bodywork elements.

The rear wheels blend better into the body thanks to the wider mudguards, improving the car's aerodynamics.

The extravagant style, the scissor doors, the luxurious wheels and even an iPad with entertainment inside are Donkervoort's arguments for this car to be "exclusive" and considered a superch.

Among the numerous optional equipment is a multimedia system, the carbon roof can be removed and installed manually and the minimalist cabin is decorated with Recaro seats with six-point belts.

The trunk has a capacity of 298 liters, not bad for such a small and powerful car.

Donkervoort has announced that it will only produce 75 copies of the F22, with the starting price being €245,000.

Deliveries of the supercar will start at the beginning of next year and it is estimated that 50 copies will already have their owners.
