Fiat confirms launch of new medium pickup for the Brazilian market in 2023

With a long trajectory of more than 20 years and a lot of tradition in the pickup segment, Fiat is a reference in innovation and breaking paradigms in the category that it has led for almost two decades in Brazil.

The brand, which already offers customers Fiat Strada, number 1 in sales in the Brazilian market in 2022, and Fiat Toro, which debuted the Sport Utility Pick-up (SUP) concept, now confirms its third pickup for the Village.

Fiat announces the launch of its third pickup in Latin America in 2023

The start of sales of the new model in the D (medium) pickup segment will take place in the second half of 2023.

The vehicle is currently in the final stages of development at Stellantis Engenharia's technical centers in Betim (MG) Complexo Automotivo.

The arrival of this new model will complete the brand's pickup portfolio. Fiat will thus cover the segment almost entirely.

It is worth mentioning that the brand has already sold more than 2.1 million vehicles with a bucket in Brazil (almost 2.5 million in South America) and is the second fastest growing segment in the Brazilian market.

In this important category, medium (D) pickup trucks account for nearly 40% of the entire segment.

With Toro and Strada, the main Italian automaker already owns more than 50% on the market, that is, one in every two pickup trucks sold in the country is made by the brand.

According to rumors, it should be the Fiat version of the Peugeot Landtrek. It is not yet clear whether the model will have the same name or a completely different name will be used.
Furthermore, it is not excluded that in certain markets, such as Mexico, the model could be sold under the Ram brand.

But these and other details will be revealed during the presentation of the vehicle that, as we said earlier, will debut next year first in Brazil and then in the rest of the Latin American continent.
