The History of the Ford Mustang
A Ford announced news to celebrate 60 years of Mustang. The automaker launched the iconic North American car in 1964 and is therefore preparing a series of activities to celebrate the model's anniversary this year. After the debut of 7th generation Mustang, the brand presented a unit of the model, called Unique Mustang in the World.
An Exclusive Model
The muscle car comes in dew silver color, which does not yet exist in Brazil, and will be styled by Alan Mosca. The artist is the son of Sid Mosca, who became known for customizing helmets from Formula 1, including those of Ayrton Senna.
Collectors Event
It is worth noting that, in addition to being the first GT Performance to arrive in Brazil, the example will later be donated to an NGO, which will auction the model. Therefore, a great deal for car collectors who want to purchase a personalized Mustang.
Ford is also preparing a collectors' parade that will take place on April 13th, next Saturday, at Interlagos Autodrome. This way, owners will be able to enjoy the track freely with their models during the event.
Pre-Sales Success
Ford has opened pre-sales for the Mustang GT Performance in March with a first batch of 150 units priced at R$ 529 thousand each, that is, around R$ 50 thousand cheaper than its predecessor Mach 1. However, the brand sold all models in less than an hour.
The coupe continues with the Coyote 5.0 V8 engine, which has a double electronic throttle body and now produces 488 hp – 5 hp more than before. Torque went from 56.7 mkgf to 58 mkgf.
New Ford Mustang Arrives in Brazil
The model gained new bumpers, while the arrangement of the headlights now consists of three bars illuminated with LEDs. Furthermore, the headlights now have arrows with dynamic lights. The first units are expected to be delivered by June. Next, Ford must import a new batch of the sports car for those who were unable to purchase the model.
