The Digital Cluster
O Tank will be the third product line of Great Wall Motors (GWM) in Brazil. Therefore, the new jeep will join the brands Now, of electric 100% models, and Haval, focused on SUVs. Initially, the company will offer the Tank 400, intermediate version of the family. Afterwards, it will be the turn of the Tank 300, input. Finally, the Tank 700 it should be an “image” car, with a low sales volume.

The Digital Cluster arrives in Brazil
Although GWM has not revealed when the cars will arrive in the country, the expectation is that the Tank 400 will arrive between the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025. According to the director of marketing and product at GWM Brasil, André Leita, the The intermediate version is expected to concentrate the largest sales volume. “It was the model that most pleased consumers”, says the executive.
The Digital Cluster in the Brazilian market
Leite did not want to talk about price expectations. However, it is possible to say that the Tank 400 will not cost less than R$ 350 thousand. Thus, GWM is betting that the new model will compete with strong rivals for buyers. In other words, mainly SUVs Toyota SW4 It is Chevrolet Trailblazer, whose renewed line hits stores soon. The car measures 4.99 meters long, 1.96 m wide and has a wheelbase of 2.85 m. In SW4 they are 4.79 m, 1.85 m and 2.74 m, respectively.
Digital Cluster: innovation and technology
However, life for the Tank 400 is not likely to be easy. After all, the Jeep will be offered in the Hi4-T configuration, which, although it is a plug-in hybrid (it can be recharged at sockets), has a gasoline-only engine. It is a 2.0 four-cylinder turbo with direct fuel injection and Miller cycle. Unlike Otto, the most common in Brazil, the intake valves remain open for longer.
Characteristics of the Digital Cluster
As a result, it takes less force to compress the air-fuel mixture. Thus, expansion occurs more prolonged than compression. In practice, this reduces fuel consumption. Therefore, the Miller cycle engine ends up being more efficient than the Otto cycle engine. Although many people call the system five-stroke, it has four: intake, compression, expansion and exhaust.
Thus, the Tank 400 has the same powertrain as the Poer pickup truck, which should be launched in Brazil in early 2025. According to data from GWM, the 2.0 gasoline engine generates 255 hp of power and 39 mkgf of torque. In addition, there is an electric motor at the front with the equivalent of 163 hp. As a result, the combined power is 408 hp and the total torque reaches just over 76 mkgf.
Digital Cluster Performance
Furthermore, the gearbox is a nine-speed automatic and the traction is 4×4. The front and rear differential locks and rear transmission with cardan complete the set. According to GWM, the Tank 400 hybrid package includes batteries with a capacity of 37.1 kWh. With this, the jeep can, at least in theory, travel more than 100 km in electric mode alone. However, this measurement considers the Chinese CLTC cycle, which is less rigorous than the Brazilian Inmetro.
After the Tank 400, GWM should launch the 300 version in Brazil. However, there is no release date for this configuration yet. Just like the intermediate “brother”, there is 4×4 traction and a hybrid system. However, this is conventional – you cannot recharge the batteries using sockets. Furthermore, the power is around 345 hp. As well as the dimensions are smaller: 4.76 m long and 1.93 m wide.
Finally, the Tank 700 is the largest in the family. In other words, it is 5.11 m long, 2.06 m wide and has a distance between the axles. Thus, it has capacity for seven people. Like the 400, it has a plug-in hybrid system, 4×4 traction and a nine-speed automatic transmission. However, its gasoline engine is a 3.0 V6 that generates 354 hp and just over 57 mkgf.
Furthermore, there is the same electric motor as the Tank 400. Thus, the combined power is 523 hp and the total torque is around 82 mkgf. In any case, this option is the one with the lowest chance of being sold in Brazil. After all, its price would not be below R$ 400 thousand. In other words, a range with a wide range of products from models and brands best known to Brazilians.
