Korean automaker Hyundai has released a video analyzing the two new N-series experimental vehicles, high-performance vehicles to test its technology.
The manufacturer has the N sub-brand for its high-performance vehicles, responsible for showing the brand's most outstanding vehicles.
Among these models is the Ioniq 5 N, which we can see in the video that the Korean brand has just presented to show the development and capabilities of Hyundai's N branch.
The video released by Hyundai
The video focuses on the two test vehicles in which all the innovations that make up this sub-brand are put to the test.
The record shows the development process of N Brand's lamination labs.
Both are fully functional vehicles used for research, development and verification of Hyundai Motorsports' emerging high-performance technologies.
Once these advances are tested, many of them will become part of series production models.
The series of rolling laboratories RM (Racing Mindship) were vehicles that used an internal combustion engine, from the summer of 2022 began to use experimental models that are intended to develop the next generation of Hyundai electric vehicles.
Two electric vehicles for testing
The two vehicles used for this type of testing and development are the RN22e and the N Vision 74.
The first of them, the RN22e, uses the E-GMP platform, which is the basis of the Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6 models, in which it presents the technologies that will be later implemented in the company's future electric models in a short period of time.
For developments in hydrogen mobility, which are intended in the medium to long term, the Korean brand uses a model called the N Vision 74.
The hydrogen engine used in this laboratory car is 500 kW and the hydrogen tanks can be filled in just five minutes.
This hydrogen fuel cell system was developed into the first prototype of its kind, the N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo.
The Vision N 74 recovers the design of the Pony Coupé, which Hyundai launched in 1974, hence its name.
A brief presentation of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N
In the video we will also be able to see the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N , although it is very brief. This model, which will hit the market soon, is presented with camouflage so that the details of its design are not noticed.
There are about three seconds, but in them it is possible to see the model traveling the track accompanied by the two laboratory cars.
