Men are six times more likely to cause car accidents than women, research says

The TASS news agency, citing the Russian traffic police press service, published statistics on accidents by car in the country since the beginning of 2022.

According to the agency, in the last nine months in Russia there were almost 12,000 accidents caused by women. At the same time, six times as many accidents occurred because of men.

In addition, the number of victims in accidents organized by the weaker sex is also significantly lower.

The survey made by the Russian research

From January to September 2022, 11,900 accidents recorded in the country were caused by women.

During the same period, 66,500 car accidents caused by men were recorded.

Compared to the same period last year, these numbers decreased by 7.4 and 6.4%, respectively.

Because of men, a fatal outcome has occurred 7,800 times

The number of victims in traffic accidents caused by women is almost six times lower. If 87,300 people were injured in accidents caused by men, in the case of the fairer sex, that number was 15,800 people.

The lowest numbers of accidents occurred in the North Caucasus, where since the beginning of the year, women and men have caused 424 and 3,300 accidents.

The most accident-prone region is Central Russia, where there were 2,800 and 16,700 road accidents in nine months, respectively.

Furthermore, experts reported that in 80% of the cases, the perpetrators of road accidents were men.

Brazilian survey confirms that men are more likely to cause traffic accidents

Another survey carried out by Unicamp (State University of Campinas) between June 2021 and 2022 at the request of the fintech ZigNET, confirmed that men cause most traffic accidents.

According to the survey, 183% more occurrences were recorded among male drivers and almost 3 times less in favor of female drivers.
