Signed by kelsonik and shared on Instagram a few hours ago, this digital version of the 2023 Volkswagen Amarok depicts it with a few minor changes.
One of the most significant updates revolves around the grid, which has had its pixels rearranged to become black. Next, the artist gave her much larger wheels, with red brake calipers visible behind them, and completing the design is the tuned suspension, which shaved a few inches off the German pickup's ground clearance.
With a few small investments, future owners will be able to make their Amarok look like this. In the meantime, however, we expect them to bring it to the United States, which they can do considering the local branch of the brand has registered the name in the region. Still, they still haven't confirmed its North American launch, unlike Ford, which has already said it's bringing the new Ranger to our market.
As a reminder, the latest iterations of the VW Amarok and Ford Ranger are platform-sharing brothers but feature different designs. The German model has a larger footprint than its predecessor and smaller overhangs. The four-wheel drive system is standard or optional, depending on the market, and helps improve traction with six driving modes.
In addition, depending on the market, the engine family includes the 150 hp 2.0-liter diesel (148 hp / 110 kW ), also available with 170 hp (168 hp / 125 kW). A twin-turbo variant of the same mill, with 209 hp (206 hp / 154 kW), is also available, as well as the 3.0-litre V6 oil burner, with 241 hp (238 hp / 177 kW) and 250 hp. (246 hp / 184 kW). The 2.3-litre EcoBoost, with 302 ps (298 hp / 222 kW), completes the offer.
