The new Mobylette Caloi is back, new design with electric motor and autonomy of up to 30 km. Sales are limited to the page of company in the Free Market, with the possibility of the moped arriving at physical stores at the end of this month.
Regarding the price, Caloi is selling its electric Mobylette for R$ 9,199. The new Caloi maintains a classic style (including the saddle), featuring a 350W brushless hub motor that can be activated either by pedaling movement or by the accelerator integrated into the display.
The removable lithium-ion battery (bivolt), 36 V and 10.4 Ah, gives Mobylette a range of up to 30 km per charge, according to the Caloi page. As the company says, its new, electric version of the moped is “in line with the changing needs of consumers”.
A Mobylette with a speed of 25 km/h
We then have a maximum speed of 25 km/h in three pedal assisted levels: Eco, Mid and High. Weighing 29.7 kg, its construction is made with aluminum and steel parts, with a low frame design for easy descent and climb for the user.
The vehicle has a horn, headlamp and taillight on battery, in addition to 20 x 4.00 tires and a hydraulic brake with sensor. Its dimensions are 177.3 x 65.4 x 96 cm, with the user height suggested by Caloi starting at 1.65 m. The maximum capacity of the electric Mobylette is 100 kg (plus 5 kg in the luggage compartment), and its use is intended for the urban environment.
Regarding warranties, Caloi offers 5 years for frame and rigid fork, 2 years for electrical components (hub motor, battery and display) and 90 days for other components. Mobylette's return comes 47 years after its inception in 1975.
