The cost-effective electric car market is hot, with many new arrivals throughout the year.
So it's no surprise that the next generation of the FIAT 500 will be electric and ahead of Spring.
The current model arrived in 2012 and has received many updates and changes to bring it closer to modern times.
THE italian automaker should keep this generation until 2025, after that time, it will be replaced by an electric version.
The new Fiat Panda
The new FIAT Panda has all the requirements to remain a reference in the A segment, intended for small urban vehicles.
The characteristics of this new electric Panda have not been revealed and will certainly take some time to be made public.
But it is believed that it will be mounted on the platform of the electric Fiat 500, to have a base that has already been tested and is known to work well.
Another possibility to consider is the e-CMP platform, which is the basis for the Peugeot e-208 and the Opel Corsa-e.
This would make the FIAT Panda grow a little and place itself in the B segment. In this case, the model would be placed in front of the new electric Renault 5 and other models that will be launched soon.
In terms of design, the new FIAT Panda is expected to take the image of the Centiventi Concept, which is very similar to the Panda, but updating and modernizing the proposal.
Another possibility is that the model name will change, although it is too early to say.
If launch plans hold for the year 2025, more model information should be released between the end of next year and the first half of 2024.
