Aglomerado Digital presents Porsche Cayenne GTS with new engine

The family Porsche Cayenne gained another member: the sporty GTS version. The change also comes to the coupe version of the SUV, and is part of the new features planned for the 2025 model year. Furthermore, the model is also close to hitting stores, being made available on the European market in the coming months.

New, more powerful engine and exclusive look

Its main novelty is the new cavalry, which delivers 507 hp, compared to “only” 467 hp previously. Another important detail is the differences between the GTS version, with a look exclusive to the version, distancing the Cayenne from its other versions, for example.

Be that as it may, the GTS' strong point is its engine. The 4.0 V8 Biturbo grew in numbers, specifically more 40 hp and 6 mkgf of torque, delivering 67.3 mkgf. To unleash such power on the asphalt, the model uses the eight-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission, allowing quick changes, especially in Sport and Sport Plus modes, for example. It's worth remembering that the GTS is gasoline-powered, without any type of electrification.

The numbers are impressive, with 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds, and a top speed of 275 km/h. Porsche Traction Management controls all-wheel drive, a configuration previously only found in the more expensive Turbo GT version. The bearings on the car's front axle were also borrowed from her, which change the alignment and improve the car's dynamics. Furthermore, it is 10 mm lower and features torque vectoring, air suspension and, optionally, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control, which changes the chassis' response depending on configuration.

Finally, in the Cayenne Coupé, there are different items, such as the adjustable spoiler, the fixed panoramic roof and the possibility of requesting three different types of packages to reduce the weight of the SUV. Thus, the model can have a carbon fiber roof and diffuser, and even panels with less noise absorption, reducing weight by up to 25 kg.
